When you think about what B2C marketing is, at its core its really about brand building. The goal is to build loyalty to your brand and keep them coming back for more. So how is this accomplished? Well, here are five tips for B2C marketing success.
Social Media. Learn it. Live it. Love it. I know it can be the bane of our existence sometimes, but over 75% of consumers are active on one or more social media platforms and 90% of all content shared by users on social media is video. This means to successfully build your brand, you need to be active on multiple social media platforms and post the right kind of content.
Know Your Audience. Learn their behaviors, likes, and dislikes. Are they emotionally driven? What time of day do they typically make a purchase? Once you understand who you’re dealing with and why they do what they do, you can use that information to form a solid marketing strategy.
Make It Personal. Your content should tell a story and be relatable. Think about some of the stand out ad campaigns – the Budweiser Clydesdale’s with the puppy, for example. It uses an emotional pull to make you remember the brand.
SEO & SEM. It’s kind of a big deal. Make sure you have a strong website and social presence for internet searches. Use well developed keyword strategies and Google resources. It will bring more customers to your door. Search and social marketing together boost click-through-rates among consumers by 94% on average.
Customer Experience Is Key. In B2C marketing, consumers are at the wheel. 9/10 consumers will pay more for a superior customer experience and 60% will try a new brand for a better experience. Don’t let a lackluster customer experience kill the sale.
Just when you think you have all of this down, go back and do it again. Keep your content and strategies fresh. If you follow these five steps, you’ll be on your way to success in no time.
